Green tea comes from the same exact tea as regular tea but?

Green tea is 3 times the price of regular tea and it is the same exact tea as regular tea minus the fermenting process. Why is it so expensive. Should it not be cheaper since it does not involve the fermenting process hence less steps in the process.
