Should I go to the university I got accepted into or a community college?

I used to live in Minnesota and got accepted into St. Cloud State University. I was set on going there until I moved to the west coast. Now, I'm thinking about declining the offer at the University (too expensive, inconvenient, etc) and attending a community college for a year or even just a semester in Salt Lake City. For the long term, I want to be a psychiatrist and eventually go to graduate school / intern. Should I stay here (and apply to universities out here) or just go with my original plan and go to St. Cloud? The reason why I'm debating is mostly because I like the environment here and St. Cloud is very expensive (once you consider the travel expenses, etc).
