Do u think this is obnoxiously corny?

Not so much corny as unprofessional. Don't hit on clients at the workplace...especially if there's a co-worker there to witness it. If you get shot down, you'll never hear the end of it. Plus, you hitting on clients will be running through the grapevine and eventually get back to the boss.
