What should I do about my communication?

Currently I am having a internship at a company. I am international, so there are lots of problems with communicating with other people. We have lots of students have intern, and we live in the same hotel. But I just try my best to talk to them, but it seems like it doesn't work. People don't never told when they hang out or something else. It is really boring stay in room. I came here for like 2 years but communication still is my problem, this is also a big problem in my work. So now I just have no idea what to do.
