Could I be allergic to my glasses?

I'm started to get these flakes off rough dry skin along where the legs of my glasses go.. Could this be because of an allergic reaction? I usually wear these glasses that are not " metal" material they're more "plastic" but, once they broke I had to wear my back up pair which are made out of "metal".. A few weeks after I started wearing those glasses my skin has gotten flacky where the legs of the glasses go. Does this sound like an allergic reaction?
