What do I major in at college?

So I will be applying to every Southern UC school next Spring and I know for sure I want to be a doctor. I have ever since 8th grade and with hospital interning, I'm set on it. Being a neurologist is what I yearn to be. But I still don't understand the college system. Should I major in biology or what? What about minors?
